[LOG] Start of Something New
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
CHARACTERS: Maria, Aligoté, the Huxleys (Aznor/Forte/Roger), maybe Stanice and some local NPCs?
WHEN: SD 773 / 7Q751, a few days after this
WHERE: mostly in Surferio
SUMMARY: Maria and Aligoté go house-hunting, sort of.
WARNINGS: nothing comes to mindyet
Maria had given Fayt's suggestion to relocate to Surferio a lot of thought. Her initial idea had been Aquios, since she'd spent the last couple of months already hiding out there anyway, but Fayt brought up a good point - that her following in the Legions was bound to get her roped into one of them sooner or later. And she was really tired of fighting, tired of being in command. Econtra had only been six months for her, more or less, but those months felt like a lifetime, and she didn't want any more of that, if she could avoid it.
So after settling her business with Quark (Cliff was hardly surprised at her decision to disband it, and was even relieved), she made arrangements for a trip to the old Aquor capital with Aligoté. Mostly to check out the place, but also to enjoy themselves and take their much-needed break; while the city was ancient, it was beautiful, and she had a feeling he was going to like it there.
They went the old-school way, though: wagons and horses, transporting crops and food products for trading. They sat at the back of the wagon, legs dangling, watching as Aquios faded into the horizon and became one with the seemingly endless fields of green.
"Sorry this isn't a first-class trip, my lord," she teased, bumping her shoulder against his lightly.

[LOG] Once Upon A Time
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
CHARACTERS: Maria, Aligoté, Fayt, Cliff, Mirage and who knows who else from Maria’s circle of friends
WHEN: SD 773 / 7QJ51, after this and this
WHERE: starts at Aquios, possibly ending up all the way in Surferio
SUMMARY: Maria and Aligoté start a new life together, after Econtra.
WARNINGS: Excessive cute? ♥
It felt like the moment when it all began - being drafted to Econtra. The blinding light, the feeling of falling, the disorientation. But when Maria finally opened her eyes, she wasn’t in a white room, and there was no Warden. Instead, she was standing on the balcony of a familiar castle, which overlooked a familiar lake, and up on the sky, against the backdrop of a stunning sunset, were three familiar moons.
She drew in a breath. Elicoor. She really was here, she’d really escaped Econtra—
“Aligoté,” she gasped in realization, whirling around to face him. She looked halfway between laughing and crying. “We’re here. The Warden, he did it. We’re not in Econtra anymore.”

[LOG] In Time, All Good Things
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
CHARACTERS: Shiraz, Nausicaa, maybe others?
WHEN: 7QJ75 / SD 797. Late in the year. December?
WHERE: Quentão, Aquavitae
SUMMARY: Almost a year after Nausy's and Marc's arrival to Quentão, Shiraz decides it's time to have a heart to heart talk.
WARNINGS: Emotional ows?
Shiraz lingered in the doorway while Nausy settled Marc down for his afternoon nap, watching the young boy with an unfiltered affection. During the course of the year, she and the redhead had butted heads a number of times, but Marc always helped the Bonded feline feel more settled. The boy had won her easily with unreserved affection, and that had gone a long way in the slow but eventual thaw of Shiraz toward his mother as well.
Now, nearly a year after their arrival, Shiraz and Nausy had reached a fairly level field, and the feline hoped very much that the conversation she was about to attempt -- one she'd debated with herself about having for weeks -- wouldn't put them back on unwelcome terrain.
"Nyaa~" she said as Nausy came out of Marc's bedroom. "Can I talk to you?"
